Terry WilliamsPembrey, S. Wales Tel: 01554 835613 Update 25th June 2008
I've just received my Full permit from the CAA - six months from first flight,
but most of the delay due to weather.
Anyway it's nice to have it at last.
Update 23rd November 2007
Thought you'd like to know that G-CDZR flew for the first time today at 14.15
hrs. All systems seem to work o.k. but a thorough flight evaluation now needs
to be carried out after this first basic flight.
Looking forward to carrying out the 15 hrs flight testing, and will let you
know how it all pans out. PICTURES
Update 13th November 2007
I'm still waiting for PFA approval to test fly. I had to submit a mod for carb
heating the aerocarb which is taking an age. Francis Donaldson has been on
hols which delayed things further but hopefully I shall hear something
positive in the next week or so then it will fly, I hope!
Update 2nd August 2007 Just to let you know that I've started taxiing G-CDZR. See picture - roaring down the runway at Pembrey at an eye watering 30mph with the tail-wheel off the ground. Almost tempted to lift off and go for a spin, but I've decided to wait for the paperwork to come back from the PFA, hopefully before the end of August
Update 30th March 2007
If anyone is interested, I've traced a firm in the midlands who are able to
manufacture a set of Menestrel tailwheel springs -as per plans- for the sum of
£55.
I've just placed an order for mine, if anyone wants to order a set through me
that's o,k or they can order directly themselves from:

Update 4th December 2006
Aircraft progressing quite well, I'm wiring the engine at the moment and
trying to sort out baffles, carb heating, oil cooling, fuel systems etc etc,
more than I thought and at times a bit daunting, however in the words of
Churchill we must KBO
Update 4th August 2006 I've attached some of the latest photos of my project. Next job installing the engine and then final rigging. Hope to see it looking complete by the end of September Update 20th May 2006 I've just received my registration which is G-CDZR. Fuselage and wings all covered and painted up to silver coat. Building my aero vee engine at the moment, hope to have it installed by the end of May. After that, who knows!! Update May 2005
I'm finishing off a Menestrel project purchased
from a friend of Joe's in N. Ireland, Mervyn Waugh.
It's almost ready for covering (I'm using the
polyfibre system)
but have yet to find a suitable engine.
